Solicitation # AB-2026-05563
The Forestry and Parks Division of Alberta is seeking qualified consultants to provide catering and janitorial oversight services across 35 fire bases and incident camps located in 10 Forest Areas throughout the province. Seasonal fire personnel residing at these camps rely on contractor-provided meals and cleaning services, and the consultants hired under this contract are responsible for regularly assessing the quality, safety, and compliance of these services with Alberta Health standards. Assessments must be documented using a standardized template, and any significant findings require immediate notification to on-site officials and a detailed written report submitted within 24 hours. Consultants also serve as advisors to camp supervisors, contractors, and forestry staff, offering expert guidance to improve operational standards and ensure consistent service delivery. Successful proponents will be assigned to one of three designated geographic work areas for the duration of the contract, though occasional travel to camps outside their primary region may be required, with travel arrangements agreed upon in advance. The role demands a strong understanding of food safety protocols, sanitation regulations, and camp operations in remote, high-pressure environments. Up to four contracts may be awarded through this competitive solicitation process, with proposals due by August 28, 2026.
