The Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential suppliers capable of supporting requirements for the NSN 6350-015773969 sensing element used in fire detector systems. This effort aims to gather information to aid in determining the appropriate procurement method for an Indefinite Quantity Contract. Currently, approved sources for this item include AMEREX CORPORATION and OSHKOSH DEFENSE LLC. Interested organizations are invited to submit capability statements detailing their qualifications, technical ability, and management structure, especially if subcontracting or teaming is anticipated, to demonstrate their capacity to meet the program's requirements, which include strict schedule adherence, cost control, performance tracking, personnel management, and risk mitigation. There is no solicitation issue at this time, and submissions are voluntary without government financial liability. Responses must include detailed organizational contact information and evidence of relevant experience, and be submitted by June 8, 2026, to the designated point of contact. The market research results will help determine whether the procurement will be set aside for small businesses or opened for full and open competition, with the possibility of multiple awards. Companies wishing to become approved sources must apply through the Source Approval Request program, coordinating with the DLA Aviation Small Business Office. Telephone inquiries are not accepted, nor will feedback be provided on submissions. The NAICS code for this procurement is 335311, and performance is expected to be conducted in Richmond, Virginia.
