SR 152 Intersection Control Improvement (10-1Q040)

The SR 152 Intersection Control Improvement project, managed by Caltrans District 10 in Stockton, involves the construction of a roundabout on State Route 152 from 0.3 miles west to 0.3 miles east of Volta Road in Merced County, approximately 2.5 miles west of Los Banos. The primary objective of the project is to reduce broadside collisions through improved intersection control. The scope of work includes the installation of sidewalks, bike ramps, curb ramps, street lighting, flashing beacons, and various drainage features such as inlets, culverts, outlets, ditches, and basins. To maintain traffic flow during construction, a detour will be established to the south of the intersection, featuring two traffic lanes in each direction, a center left turn lane, and four-foot shoulders.
