SSA - Clear DX System LR-SR

The Idaho Department of Administration, Division of Purchasing, has issued a sole source authorization for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to acquire the Clear Dx System LR-SR from Clear Labs. This procurement, identified by solicitation number 379, is valued at $509,573.20 and is justified under Idaho Code section 67-9221 and IDAPA 38.05.01.045. The Clear Dx System is a fully automated Next Generation Sequencing platform designed for microbial surveillance, including SARS-CoV-2. It is the only system capable of providing both long and short read sequencing in a single automated workflow, making it the only qualified solution to replace sunsetting equipment from Illumina and Oxford Nanopore while increasing staff productivity at the Idaho Bureau of Laboratories. The total contract value includes the system hardware, a starter pack, installation and training, IQ/OQ/PQ services for SARS-CoV-2 and microbial surveillance, and a five-year service plan. Performance is set to begin on March 1, 2024, with a primary term ending March 2, 2025, and provisions for automatic one-year renewals subject to vendor proposals. Delivery and acceptance will take place at the Idaho Bureau of Laboratories in Boise.
