SYNOPSIS: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, plans to issue solicitation IFBP05141200003 for the construction of, to include but not limited to, reinforce existing building 10 foundation. The successful contractor will provide all engineering design services, labor, materials and equipment for the reinforcement of the existing building 10 foundation to include exterior footings and interior pier supports. Building 10 is a 32' x 170' two story structure with cast-in-place concrete frame and partial basemnt. The concrete frame consist of a beam and one way slab resting on cast-in-place concrete columns. The columns in turn bear on isolated footings resting on undisturbed soil. The exterior is faced with masonry non-load bearing wall. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The project consists of furnishing all services, equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Seagoville, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will available on or about May 24, 2012 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately June 28, 2012. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions.
