5P468-24-0058/A Stage 2 - Cascade Gardens Masonry Pathway Repairs, Banff National Park REQUIREMENT Parks Canada requires reconstruction, repair, and repointing of flagstone pathways and concrete curbs. The site is a ‘cultural resource of other heritage value’ and is located in a national park. The pathways are within the grounds of a publicly accessible landscaped garden. Portions of the existing concrete and rundle stone pathways are damaged and require repair. The objective of the repair work is to extend the serviceable life of this infrastructure, as well as to complete improvements to safety by eliminating unstable, damaged walking surfaces. The area of repairs consists of rundle stone flagstone mortared atop a concrete slab base. Some areas require full reconstruction and others require localized repointing and/or stone replacement. The concrete curbs also require reconstruction of damaged areas. Contract completion is anticipated by the end of September 30, 2025. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
