Operational Security Cameras Bagwell and North Cargo AreasThe contract involves designing, permitting, and constructing a new camera installation system in the Bagwell and North Cargo Operations areas of the Port of Seattle to enhance security and operational oversight. The project will replace and expand existing surveillance capabilities by deploying 50 high-resolution cameras across 43 locations, focusing on improving forensic capabilities and supporting enforcement of port movement rules. In the Bagwell area, camera coverage will be upgraded along main drive lanes and entrances, which currently only monitor conveyor systems and security doors, ensuring comprehensive visibility of vehicle traffic and access points. In the North Cargo area, flexible surveillance will be provided through Pan Tilt Zoom units that allow user-controlled monitoring, enabling broad surface area coverage across dynamic and varying operational zones. All work will be executed by a contractor selected to meet the Port’s technical and operational requirements, with the project aligned under NAICS code 238210 for electrical and other construction services. The initiative is managed by the Aviation Project Management Group under the Port of Seattle, with primary point of contact Angela Peterson and Project Manager Randa Williams available for coordination. The solicitation was posted on July 14, 2026, and while no set-aside details are specified, the effort is intended to modernize critical security infrastructure, reduce blind spots, and increase accountability across high-traffic cargo operations.
