Parks Canada requires a contractor to provide construction services related to the replacement of Halfway Brook Bridge, an 18.7m single span concrete structure consisting of seven (7) AASHTO precast girders resting upon concrete abutments. The structure will be replaced with a new 42m, two lane, single span, twin trapezoidal steel box girder bridge, including the installation and removal of a temporary retaining structure to allow for new construction. The new concrete structure shall include a fully integral piled abutments and deck along with a new asphalt wearing surface. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
