REQUIREMENT Parks Canada is requiring bridge rehabilitation of the Snaring River Bridge on Snaring Road, approximately 17 km Northwest of the townsite of Jasper. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Disposal of damaged asphalt plank seal coat, asphalt plank, laminated deck, concrete, camber shim plates, damaged timber curb, and existing deck joints; 2. Supply and installation of: timber end block with steel angle EMSEAL joints, curb segments with through drains, timber deck and new chip seal coat, guardrails, class 2 riprap, and cast-in-place concrete shear blocks; 3. Repair of concrete on vertical and horizontal surfaces at bridge abutments and piers, and damaged sections of bridge rail; 4. Removal of debris at substructure and truss connection points; 5. Tightening loose bolts and install new bolts at locations where existing bolts are missing; 6. Lead paint abatement at localized areas as required. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
