5P468-23-0168/A Stage 2 - Texas Gate Replacement, Elk Island National Park REQUIREMENT Parks Canada requires the replacement of one (1) Texas Gate water crossing structure within Elk Island National Park (EINP). Further description/information is outlined below: Wood Bison Texas Gate: The existing Wood Bison Texas Gate is approximately 7.4m wide, has a span of 4.6m and is located at 53o34’18” N, 112o50’31” W. This Gate provides the primary access for public and PCA staff to the south side of EINP and is currently closed to public traffic due to deterioration of steel I-Beam members. The gate has been opened/operated periodically in recent months to facilitate emergency response. Bison handling will commence in the December which requires crossing by large/heavy cattle liners. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
