Stage II Physical Mine Hazard Investigation at Eight former Fluorite Mines in Madoc, Ontario

The Government of Ontario, through the Ministry of Energy and Mines, is soliciting bids for a Stage II Physical Mine Hazard Investigation and Assessment of eight former fluorite mines in Madoc, Ontario. The targeted sites include the McIlroy, Bailey, Rogers, Johnson, Blakely, Noyes, Kilpatrick, and Keene mines. Bidders must first meet all mandatory requirements before undergoing a technical evaluation focused on their proposed methodology for eleven specific tasks, a detailed Gantt chart schedule, relevant project experience from the last five years, and a plan for Indigenous community beneficial participation. A minimum technical score of 70 percent is required to proceed to the final commercial evaluation. The successful contractor must provide a multidisciplinary team including experts in geotechnical, water resource, geochemical, ecology, and construction fields, while adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
