--Standard QuietOps Headsets

The U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Natick Contracting Division, acting on behalf of USSOCOM, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Silynx Communications for the procurement of 15 Standard QuietOps Headsets featuring both lightweight and ear muff configurations. This action is based on the authority granted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13, which govern the acquisition of commercial items and simplified acquisition procedures, respectively. Silynx was the only source capable of meeting the unique testing and evaluation requirements specific to these headset systems, following their response to a prior market survey. The decision to award this contract exclusively to Silynx Communications stems from the specificity of the testing planned for the QuietOps Headsets, confirming that no alternative suppliers can fulfill these requirements.
