AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of 28 threaded spaced standoffs identified by NSN 5340-01-223-7957, manufactured in strict compliance with the current revision of the non-government standard NAS1829 Revision 6 dated July 31, 2025, and classified as a critical application item. All hardware must conform to the latest version of the applicable part standard, with no tolerance for deviations from prior revisions unless explicitly authorized. The contract enforces rigorous technical and quality requirements sourced from the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which supersede all other specifications including ASTM D3951. Ozone-depleting chemicals are strictly prohibited, and any substitute materials require prior approval. Sampling and inspection protocols mandate zero non-conformances under MIL-STD-1916 or equivalent zero-based plans, with verification levels assigned per critical, major, and minor attributes. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-129 and DLA-specific packaging requirements, with hazardous materials conforming to FED-STD-313 and TQ requirement IP025, while non-hazardous items must meet ASTM D3951 where not overridden by DLA directives. Palletization follows RP001 standards, and all units are to be shipped FOB origin with delivery required within 24 days after order date. The contract mandates firm fixed pricing with no variance in quantity allowed, and acceptance occurs at destination. The item is to be delivered to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with transportation governed by DLAD procedural notes. The solicitation number is SPE7L1-26-Q-1342, issued under full and open competition, with the response deadline set for August 3, 2026, and the material need date identified as October 1, 2026. The primary point of contact is Mary Miller of the Department of Defense’s Land Supply Chain, and the unit of issue is each (EA). Configuration change management is enforced through formal engineering change proposals and variance requests, and any covered defense information applicable to the item is subject to the associated security requirements. The contract integrates a comprehensive framework of military, industrial, and procurement standards to ensure performance, compliance, and logistical readiness.
