The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a five (5) year Fixed Price (FP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for a maximum quantity of fifty nine (59) Static Frequency Converter, P/N: 1000AG1000-2, NIIN: 01-616-8942 manufactured by Aviation Ground Equipment Corporation, Freeport, NY, 11520-4608 (Cage; 0TZM0). This brand name acquisition will be procured on a sole source basis from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Aviation Ground Equipment Corporation (Cage: 0TZM0) only. The Government does not possess the technical data package required for competitive procurement. Additionally, the Aviation Ground Equipment Corp. static frequency converter has been specifically designed to meet military requirements and redundancy of costs to develop, test, and qualify an alternate product would offset any benefits derived from competition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
