STEM Conference/ Career Fair

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Philadelphia Office, intends to acquire non-personal services support for the Naval Recruiting Command (NRC) located in Millington, TN. The proposed contract action is for commercial services in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested parties may identify their capability and respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received after date of publication of this notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. Society of Women Engineers, is the only organization that can host this type of female specific STEM conference and regional career fairs. The Navy has a vested interest in recruiting the best and brightest across the nation. Our American Engineering professionals are becoming few and far between. SWE has a strong program which promotes education in several STEM fields to female students. Through SWE's coaching and mentoring in the future, the Navy and the United States will benefit from these well-educated students who will have their educational background in several of the sciences, technology, engineering, and math fields.
