SUNY Upstate Medical University plans to acquire the Steris Corporation Auto Endoscopic Reprocessor and related products through a procurement process authorized by Premier under section 163 (3) (vi) of the NYS Finance Law. This law permits purchasing from a consortium or similar entity without a formal competitive process when justified by favorable pricing. Vendors offering equivalent products must demonstrate clinical performance comparable to the Steris products, supported by free clinical documentation and equipment for evaluation and trial purposes. The vendor must be authorized to sell the listed Steris products or an approved equivalent. The procurement process is strictly regulated under the NYS Lobbying Law, restricting contact to a designated individual, Rachel Hawthorne, to avoid violations that could result in disqualification or debarment. Successful vendors are required to submit current NYS Workman’s Compensation and Disability Forms. The contract duration aligns with the term of the existing Premier agreement, with a due date for responses set for March 14, 2024. The procurement is located in Onondaga County at 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY, and is open to any business capable of providing the specified products, with Steris being a known provider with a history of similar contracts within the past five years.
