AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 20 disposable plastic diaphragm stethoscopes intended for use in infection control areas. Each stethoscope unit must be properly packaged in sealed containers that protect against damage and breakage, with commercial exterior shipping containers designed to ensure safe delivery at the lowest transportation rate. All packaging and marking must conform to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes previous military standards, and detailed guidance on technical and quality requirements is incorporated by reference from the DLA Master List. The contract specifies a delivery timeframe of 20 days after order and requires bidders to clearly specify the source and part number for each item supplied. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain MD SURG FSF under NAICS code 339112, with Colin Owens as the primary point of contact. This acquisition adheres to DLA packaging and procurement standards, including provisions for the removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies, and applies defense information handling protocols as noted in the contract.
