Advertisement for Bids STONEBRIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION DISTRICT (A/E PROJECT NO. 26-1130-0012) Sealed bids will be accepted by the Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District at the office of Thompson Engineering, Inc., 4937 Hearst Street, Suite 1B, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, until 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 4937 Hearst Street, Suite 1B, Metairie, Louisiana 70001 for the following public work: Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification, A/E Project No. 26-1130-0012 The work generally consists of repairs and improvements to the Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District, complete with all necessary appurtenances. All bids must be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. Complete Bid Documents may be obtained electronically from Thompson Engineering’s Plan Room, via Central Bidding at the following website: www.centralbidding.com. Printed copies are not available from the Designer or Owner, but arrangements can be made to obtain them via City Blueprint Plan Room by email: contact@example.gov or by phone: +1 (555) 000-0000. Bidders are responsible for all reproduction costs and/or fees associated with the use of the website. Only firms that are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 shall be eligible to obtain Bid Documents. A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD at 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at Stonebridge Country Club, 1500 Stonebridge Drive, Gretna, LA 70056. All Bidders interested in submitting a bid are required to attend. Bids may be submitted either by registered or certified mail, hand delivery, or electronically at www.centralbidding.com.  If submitted by mail or hand-delivery, bids shall be submitted to the following address: Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District c/o Thompson Engineering, Inc. Attn: Alec Simonson, P.E. 4937 Hearst Street, Suite 1B Metairie, Louisiana 70001 Bids mailed or hand-delivered shall be in a sealed opaque envelope with the notation “SEALED BID ENCLOSED”.  The envelope shall be identified by: the Project Name and Number, the Bid Opening Date, the Bidder’s name and address, and the Bidder’s Louisiana Contractor’s License Number. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is solely responsible for proper delivery of its bid. Bids failing to comply with this paragraph or received after the aforementioned deadline date and time will be rejected. All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to the Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District, in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price.  The form for these bonds shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this Project. This bid is let in accordance with the Louisiana Public Bid Law, La. R.S. 38:2212 et seq. The provisions and requirements of the Public Bid Law and those stated in the Bid Documents shall not be waived. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.  No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Liquidated Damages shall be assessed at $500.00 per day pursuant to the Contract Documents.
