Full Description

The purpose of this announcement is to advertise that Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land & Maritime is soliciting for an Indefinite Quantity Contract for National Stock Number (NSN) 6140-01-562-0859. This acquisition includes the purchase of a code and part number item where the item is classified as sole source with one approved source. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed (5) years. Freight on Board (FOB) will be destination. Inspection and acceptance will be destination based upon the quality requirements for the items and the items fall within the aforementioned contract scope. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. This acquisition is for a supply for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2301(c) (1). Approved source for (NSN) 6140-01-562-0859 is Harris Corporation, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) 1PNR4. Solicitation will be unrestricted with Other Than Full and Open competition. The solicitation will be available on or about December 19, 2014 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/. The item under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the Unites States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. The North American Industry Classification System for this procurement is 335999 and number of employees is 500. The proposed contract action is for the supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with approved sources under authority of FAR 6.302.
