This contract is for the procurement of five sediment strainers identified by NSN 4730-01-550-6453 and part number PA12650903 manufactured by Fairbanks Morse, LLC. The items are designated as critical application components and must comply with stringent environmental and safety restrictions, including a complete prohibition on class I ozone-depleting chemicals and the intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds, except for specific approved applications such as batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, weapon systems, or chemically specified reagents under NAVSEA guidelines. Mercury-containing portable lamps and instruments must be shock-proof and feature a secondary containment barrier in accordance with NAVSEA 5100-003D. All packaging and labeling must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129 standards, with no special marking required, and palletization must follow DLA’s packaging requirements. The supplies are to be delivered FOB origin within 168 days from the contract award, with no variance allowed in quantity, and inspection and acceptance occur at the destination.
