Subcontractor Cybersecurity Flow-Down Management

All subcontracts under this agreement involving Controlled Unclassified Information must incorporate the DFARS 252.204-7012 clause, ensuring that subcontractors are contractually bound to implement the cybersecurity requirements outlined in NIST SP 800-171. Subcontractors are required to establish and maintain adequate security controls to protect CUI, conduct regular assessments of their compliance, and immediately report any cybersecurity incidents affecting the information to the appropriate government authorities without delay. The Defense Logistics Agency, under the Department of Defense, mandates strict adherence to these requirements across the supply chain, regardless of subcontract tier, to ensure consistent protection of sensitive data throughout all levels of performance. Failure to comply with these obligations will constitute a breach of contract and may result in corrective actions, including termination or debarment.
