UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (USDOT) OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY (OST) OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS Synopsis for Solicitation 693JK420Q600004 Subscription Services for Transportation News Coverage Introduction: The Office of the Secretary (OST), Office of Governmental Affairs is an office of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Governmental Affairs is responsible for coordinating Congressional and intergovernmental relations activities involving modal offices to ensure the effective and accurate presentation of the Department's views. One of its modal offices is the Office of Public Affairs. To achieve the Office of Public Affairs objectives, the goal is to allow employees access to a legislative news cycle that impacts Transportation. This synopsis, in accordance with FAR 5.203(a), issues a 15-day public notification prior to the issuance of a sole-source solicitation 693JK420Q600004 to Politico LLC. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide technical subscription services Transportation news for 10 users within DOT Office of Governmental Affairs. The NAICS Code for this Purchase Order is 517919 with a size standard of $35M. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database located at www.sam.gov to be considered for Purchase Order award. It is the Government's intent to award a Firm Fixed Fee type Purchase Order resulting from the solicitation, with or without discussions. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor www.Beta.Sam.gov Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any) and download the documents. The estimated release date of the solicitation is on or about June 2, 2020. The duration of the anticipated award is 36 months (1 base year and 2 twelve-month option years.) THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed above are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. The anticipated award date is June 9, 2020.
