The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a modification to Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-17-G-0003, Delivery Order N0001919F0282. This action focuses on the procurement of a finalized production-level design and the subsequent production of a two-piece electronics bay cover with a detachable radome and nosecone sub-assembly for the BQM-177A Subsonic Aerial Target. This specific design allows users to replace the radome or nosecone without removing the entire electronics bay cover from the vehicle. Additionally, the modification reduces the quantity of available wing-tip antenna pod options from seventeen pairs to six pairs. The BQM-177A is a recoverable aerial target system used to emulate Anti-Ship Cruise Missiles and Surface-to-Air Missiles for weapons system test and evaluation. Due to their role as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the system, Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems is identified as the only responsible source capable of fulfilling these requirements. This sole-source procurement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1 with a period of performance of up to 12 months and falls under NAICS code 336411.
