Supplemental Environmental Review and Subsequent Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Proposed Santa Venetia Floodwall - Supplement to the 2019 Gallinas Levee

The Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Zone 7 is planning the construction of a sheet pile floodwall to protect the Santa Venetia neighborhood from 100-year floods. The project involves installing a composite or steel sheet pile wall approximately 7,800 feet in length and up to 14 inches wide, extending from 55 Meadow Drive to Pump Station 5 near 825 Vendola Drive. This infrastructure is designed to provide flood protection for a 30-year design life. This forecast is associated with a supplemental environmental review and a subsequent mitigated negative declaration as a supplement to the 2019 Gallinas Levee project. The work will be performed in San Rafael, California, and is managed by the Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.
