The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Independent Forensics of Illinois, LLC., 500 Waters Edge Suite 210, Lombard, IL 60148 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). This notice will be distributed only through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The fluorescent staining kit for human sperm ID from sexual assault, washed, ply-L-lysine coated, hydrophobic masked slides, 100x110ul single-use Aliquots of 1.0M stock pH8.0 DTT, and microscope slide gaskets manufactured by Independent Forensics of Illinois, LLC., have the ability to expedite processing of evidentiary items and to reduce case backlog. Sperm HY-Liter fluorescence microscopes are based on microscopic detection of human sperm cells from casework evidence. They are also the only supplies currently that are compatible with existing Sperm HY-Liter fluorescence microscopes/kits therefore Independent Forensics of Illinois, LLC. Inc. is the only company to meet the FBI requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 10:00 AM, EST, Monday, November 7, 2011, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Christina Sims, Contracts Specialist, at (703) 632-8480. E-mail quotes will also be accepted at Christina.Sims@ic.fbi.gov. The Government will not pay for any information received.
