3.5-Ton Supplemental Airbag SupplyThe contract entails the supply of a high-capacity, durable airbag system rated for 3.5 tons, specifically designed to support aircraft during recovery operations in field or emergency conditions. These airbags are critical for stabilizing and lifting aircraft that have suffered damage or are stranded in remote or austere environments, ensuring safe and efficient retrieval without the need for heavy ground equipment. The system must meet stringent durability and performance standards to function reliably under harsh operational conditions, including extreme weather, uneven terrain, and prolonged exposure to the elements. This is a subcontract under the Department of Defense, managed by the W7N8 Uspfo Activity Wiang Crtc, with performance required at Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, zip code 54618. The NAICS code 336413 indicates the work falls within the aerospace product and parts manufacturing category, underscoring the technical sophistication and specialized manufacturing capabilities required. No solicitation number is listed, and the contract type does not specify a set-aside, suggesting it may be awarded through competitive subcontracting channels without public bid restrictions. The posting date of June 24, 2026, indicates this is a future-oriented procurement, likely part of long-term logistical planning for military aircraft recovery operations.
