The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Authority) seeks proposals from firms or individuals (“Respondent”) to provide for the supply of carbon emission mitigation attributes and to operate The Good Traveler, a carbon emissions mitigation program (“Program”). The Good Traveler was developed in 2015 by the Authority to create an easy, affordable, and meaningful way for people to offset the environmental impact of their air travel. The goal of The Good Traveler Program is to serve as a unified, airport-centric platform dedicated to decarbonizing air travel through the sale of verifiable, measurable mitigation products such as: carbon offsets, renewable energy certificates, community benefit contributions, sustainable aviation fuel certificates (SAFc) and other potential “in-sector” carbon reduction measures, such as airport energy efficiency upgrades, and carbon removal projects at San Diego International Airport (“Airport”).
