Each pack contains a carefully specified assortment of sterile, nonwoven fabric items including reinforced back table covers, hand towels, specialty gowns, mayo stand covers, stockinettes, split sheets with positioning tape, limb sheets with fenestration and tube holders, and iso-seal drape tape strips. The surgical packs are packaged in sealed unit containers that ensure protection from damage, and units are packed into suitable commercial exterior shipping containers designed for safe transport, with markings compliant with the Medical Marking Standard No. 1. The unit of issue is a package containing five individual surgical packs. The procurement is made under the Department of Defense through the Defense Logistics Agency's Medical Supply Chain, destined for delivery aboard the USS Ft Lauderdale, with a delivery timeframe of 20 days from order.
