Full Description
Surveys performed at the Port of Seattle’s (Port’s) Airport facilities or properties shall be based on the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA) Grid System as established by the Civil Aeronautics Administration or the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83) as directed. Surveys performed at the Port’s Seaport facilities or properties shall be in the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83) or Seattle Tidelands as directed. Vertical control shall be based on the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 29), STIA Vertical Datum, Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) or North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) as directed. Exceptions to use another datum may only be approved, in writing, by the Port Manager of Survey and Mapping. All work consisting of the Practice of Land Surveying performed under contract to the Port shall be in compliance to all standards listed in this document and in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines concerning the Practice of Land Surveying as outlined in The Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and The Revised Code of Washington (RCW).
Operating under the supervision of the Port Manager of Survey and Mapping Services, or designee, the consultant shall work in the field and office to perform on site surveying and mapping support services.
