SWARMM Family 3 (SF3) Development and Production

The MIDS SF3 radio under the SWARMM Family 3 development and production effort is designed to support secure communications at least up to the SECRET classification level and must achieve CHVP NSA certification. The system must incorporate embedded cryptographic engines that are software configurable, enabling the hosting of software-defined Cryptographic Equipment Algorithms and networking waveform Communications Security and Transmission Security protocols. The Software Defined Radio architecture must be capable of certified operation across multiple classification levels without requiring hardware changes. The contract is managed by the Naval Information Warfare Systems, with primary performance expected in San Diego, and the procurement is forecasted with a posting date of August 10, 2026.
