AI Contract Overview
This contract solicits six rotary switches under NSN 5930-01-593-1045 with a delivery timeframe of 215 days after contract award, issued under solicitation SPE7M5-26-T-347D by the Department of Defense’s Active Devices Division. The item is subject to strict source control requirements, meaning all components must conform to the officially designated drawing, and only approved sources listed on that drawing may be used—offerors must not assume that alternative suppliers qualify even if their parts appear identical. The contract mandates first article submission, including physical exhibits marked in bold red letters, along with comprehensive documentation such as test reports per DI-NDTI-80809B, material certifications, process operation sheets, and manufacturing drawings. Government verification testing for form, fit, and function is required on the next higher assembly, and production beyond the first article must not commence until formal acceptance is granted, at the vendor’s own risk. The product contains specialty metals subject to DFARS clauses 252.225-7008, 7009, and 7010, and is governed by export control regulations under ITAR or EAR, restricting technical data sharing with foreign persons without prior authorization. Compliance requires adherence to the DLA’s Export-Controlled Technical Data protocols, including JCP certification, completion of required training, and prior approval for data access. The item also contains components covered by Qualified Products or Manufacturers Lists, and must not incorporate ozone-depleting substances under any circumstances. Cybersecurity requirements mandate CMMC Level 2 certification for third-party assessments, and the contractor must ensure proper physical marking of bare items and use of calibrated test equipment. All technical and quality requirements are derived from the DLA Master List, and deviations or waiver requests must be formally submitted through established channels, including specialized requests for casting and forging assistance if applicable.
