The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a Sole-Source, Firm-Fixed type contract for Synergy IIIA Plate Carrier Inserts with Diamondback Tactical, Spindale, NC, under Request for Quote (RFQ) Number 222513C126. Diamondback Tactical is to provide the FBI with 887 plate carrier inserts. These inserts will be distributed throughout the CONUS, Hawaii, Alaska, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Market Research has determined that the FBI's requirement can only be provided by Diamondback Tactical because in calendary year 2012 contract number J-FBI-12-240 was awarded after a comprehensive review and rigorous evaluation of various products.
