NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support intends to add National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs) to a Basic Ordering Agreement for repair services. The Boeing Company is identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the sole source currently approved and capable of providing repairs for these flight-critical items. Since complete technical data and drawings are not government-owned, only the government-approved source is eligible for contract award. New sources seeking approval must submit detailed technical data in accordance with the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure, which outlines the necessary repair experience and documentation requirements. Without this approval or proof of pending evaluation, offers will not be considered. Due to the critical nature of these repairs and the time needed to approve alternative sources, contract awards are expected to proceed with the currently approved supplier to meet fleet support demands. Questions about the contract and source approval process should be directed to NAVSUP WSS point of contact Tia Johnson. The contract posting, originated by the Department of Defense's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support office based in Philadelphia, specifies performance in Saint Louis, Missouri, under the NAICS code 334412, focusing on communications equipment manufacturing and repair.
