AI Contract Overview
This contract concerns the procurement of sterile, disposable hypodermic syringes and needles with safety features, specifically 3ml volume, 20-gauge, packaged in quantities of 100 per unit. The syringes are designed with a non-toxic, non-pyrogenic composition and include an automatic retraction mechanism for the needle into the syringe barrel upon depressing the plunger, enhancing user safety. Packaging requirements dictate that each unit must be sealed in a container that protects against damage and breakage, with external shipping containers suitable for secure transportation and compliance with medical marking standard no. 1 to ensure proper identification and traceability. The contract specifies a shelf life of 60 months (non-extendable) for the item, categorized as a TYPE I (CODE S) product, and incorporates a range of quality and technical standards detailed in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Delivery is expected within five days after order, with a single package quantity requested. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain MD SURG FSF and the place of performance is Williamsburg. Contact for the acquisition is Allen Costello. Bidders are required to specify the source and part number of the syringes offered in their response by the stated deadline.
