The contract pertains to the T-1A Ground Based Training System (GBTS) acquisition managed by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. It involves a competitive source selection process under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 and related supplements for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Training Software Support Center (TSSC) services. The solicitation number was updated to FA8321-15-R-6315 to reflect the Fiscal Year 2015 acquisition cycle, and a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) was posted for industry feedback without constituting an official solicitation or government obligation to award a contract. This step aims to foster open communication with vendors to better define government requirements and streamline acquisition. Industry Days were held on August 26-27, 2014, at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, allowing vendors to tour relevant facilities and engage directly with government representatives. Participation guidelines were established, including registration details and security requirements for base entry. The government encouraged written questions and comments from industry participants to improve understanding and responsiveness to the draft RFP. Contact points for the action were Jessie D. Auld and Patricia Loftin, facilitating communication about the acquisition process. All documentation and updates related to the acquisition, including attendance and Q&A, were to be posted publicly on the Federal Business Opportunities website to maintain transparency and collaboration.
