T2E Gate and T2W Baggage Information Displays (GIDs/BIDs)

The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority is soliciting bids for the provision and installation of Baggage Information Displays (BIDs) and Gate Information Displays (GIDs) within Terminal 2. The project scope includes the installation of 4 BIDs at Customs and Border Protection baggage carousels, 7 BIDs at T2 baggage carousels, 3 BIDs in the T2 apron for ground service equipment traffic, and 13 GIDs in the Terminal 2 East concourse. The contractor is responsible for the furnishing, installation, testing, and operation of all associated electrical equipment, including power and lighting systems, utility work, and temporary construction power. All equipment must be loaded with the latest manufacturer firmware and adhere to strict labeling and packaging standards, including the use of original factory packaging and specific color-coding for electrical systems. The contract is governed by the laws of the State of California, with the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego serving as the venue for all legal matters. Award selection is based solely on the base bid, and bidders must provide a bid bond of 10% of the total bid price, with the successful bidder required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The project mandates compliance with various safety and building codes, including the California Building Code, California Electrical Code, and ADA standards. Additionally, the contractor must meet a 30% small business goal and a 2% local business goal, adhere to San Diego County prevailing wage rates, and maintain a designated Site Safety Representative. Bids must be submitted electronically by December 8, 2026.
