On August 21, 2024, the New York State Office of the State Comptroller approved a sole-source exemption allowing the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to continue providing maintenance, support, and training for the T3SAP System through December 31, 2024. This exemption was granted under NY State Finance Law Section 163.10 (b), indicating that a competitive procurement process was not feasible due to the ongoing nature of the project and the need for further development of the T3SAP support website in collaboration with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The contract, covering all New York State counties, is set to run from August 2, 2024, to December 31, 2024, with an estimated value between $500,000 and $2,000,000. The procurement process was posted as a solicitation (Number 2113074) on August 22, 2024, with a response deadline of August 29, 2024. The project emphasizes continued support for the T3SAP system, which is critical for transportation operations across the state. Any inquiries regarding this sole-source arrangement should be directed to Shalina Mallory at the NYSDOT. The exemption underscores the necessity of ongoing development efforts and the unique qualifications of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in supporting this specialized system.
