AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of electrical insulation tape identified by NSN 5970009445015, designated as a commercial item with critical application status and a non-extendable shelf life of 18 months under TYPE I (CODE K) requirements. The tape must conform to technical and quality standards referenced in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with sampling governed by MIL-STD-1916 or comparable zero-based plans, requiring zero non-conformances unless otherwise stated. Acceptance is at destination under FOB destination terms with no tolerance for quantity variance, and packaging and marking must comply strictly with MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, including the special marking code 33 for shelf-life indication. The item must be palletized per DLA packaging requirements and shipped within five days of contract award. Approved suppliers include Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp, Rogers Corporation, and Hawkeye International, LLC, each with specific part numbers. Documentation for source approval and shelf-life compliance is mandatory, and the unit of issue is RO with a total quantity of 136 RO. The solicitation, issued under SPE4A6-26-T-12KH by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division, has a response deadline of August 12, 2026, with performance required at Goldsboro, NC. The contract enforces full adherence to DLA’s packaging and identification protocols, including the removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and documentation requirements tied to source approval. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, and all materials must be prepared with specific preservative methods, containment types, and labeling standards. The contract underscores strict compliance with quality assurance provisions, where unspecified attributes are treated as major, and zero-tolerance acceptance criteria apply to samples unless explicitly modified by contract wording. All requirements are binding under the DLA master document revisions in effect as of the solicitation issue date.
