Maritime Forces Pacific (MARPAC) on behalf of the department of National defence is responsible to generate, maintain and sustain an armed capability to contribute forces to meet national, domestic and overseas commitments, in order to enhance international peace and security. MARPAC needs to hasten its digital transformation to contend with the immediate surge of work associated with the department’s Digitalization strategy, and the introduction of new Naval platforms and the associated training development and delivery requirements. This includes the need to improve its legacy use of SharePoint on Premise, develop and implement SharePoint Online and modernize/optimize business processes to make optimal use of Microsoft 365 capabilities including the Power Platform suite. The L2 and L3 Information Management (IM) teams specialize in the development, management and oversight of IM tools, applications, processes and compliance with departmental IM policies. The L2 and L3 IM teams require experienced software developers to assist with various web software development and migration projects. Software developers will be required to develop application modules in a team environment to address the immediate need to develop and digitalize business processes to increase our productivity with the goal of achieving a data-enabled organization capable of leveraging modern tools and transforming data into curated deductions to inform timely evidence-based operational and institutional decisions. Specifically, to increase the adoption of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) and SharePoint Online to meet performance, scalability, architectural, quality and business requirements. Resources will be responsible for all stages of development, application/database design, programming, testing, related documentation and training.
