The focus now shifts to developing supporting documentation/processes/procedures particularly for the non-technical audience (clients, users, business lines) and to identify an upgrade path for the old, smaller, sites that have the SL-24 technology. Also, the processes for ongoing upgrades and cyclical replacement for CESS need to be developed and a lifecycle of CESS Products (software and hardware).The purpose of this activity is to develop and support the plan to implement the next phases, as described above, of the Chancery Electronic Security System program at sites where CESS is implemented and to develop the system architecture strategy for locations where the CESS is still not implemented.
