TD2222411 Westlake Blvd Eleanor Deteriorated Pole Replacement Project (Notification of Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-VEN-56908-R5)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-56908-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Warnetta Logan. The project consists of vegetation trimming and trampling to facilitate access to Pole 1848419E, and the replacement of Pole 1848419E and its associated rock-filled corrugated steel caisson. Project activities will result in 0.014-acre of temporary impacts, and less than three square feet of permanent impacts, to California sycamore woodlands and disturbed vegetation. Project site access will require traversing approximately 55 feet of Lake Eleanor Creek’s bed, banks, and channel, which includes crews accessing the project location on foot, equipment and vehicle operation, and operation of hand tools. Project activities will require crushing and trampling of herbaceous and subshrub vegetation and trimming of two California sycamore trees to facilitate access, as well as ground disturbance associated with the pole and caisson replacement processes. The project also includes the restoration of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours where applicable, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
