NOTICE OF INTEND TO AWARD ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS: THIS IS NOT A SOLICIATATION FOR PROPOSAL, AN INVITATION FOR BDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FUTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Pursuant of FAR 6-302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements," the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services Division (FISD) intends to award a sole source order for telecommunication services. This is a recurring requirement. The Office of Personnel Management will not permit outside vendors to submit quotes in response to this notice of award. Any vendors that maybe capable of supplying telecommunication land lines services, the change over must be transparent to the customers in the office and it does not interfere with the daily operation of the office or office infrastructure or modifies any cabling , data lines or telephone systems. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for is 517110 Wired telecommunication Carrier. This is a not a solicitation for quotations, but rather a notice of intend to make a sole source award to Embarq Sprint. There will be no solicitation issued or available. This notice is for information only.
