The following Questions were asked and answered: 1. Par 5.1 (2) - Is the Telemetry content different for each of the 6 streams that have to be demodulated post-flight? Are the streams supplied as RF or IF signals? Do they have to be decommutated and displayed as in real-time? A: The content could potentially be different on the 6 streams. The streams will be PCM. Yes, there will be a real-time display. 2. Par 5.2 (2c) - What is the aggregate bit rate of the 29 streams? Do they have different bit rates, and if so - what are the bit rates? A: Aggregate shouldn't exceed 20 Mbps for all of the 29 streams combined. If in the future a mission flies the Vibration Measurement System (VMS), that would increase to 46 Mbps. The individual bit rates are 819.2 Kbps, 1.6 Mbps, and 500 Kbps. VMS runs at 3.2 Mbps. 3. Par 5.2 (5d) - What is meant by multiplexing 6 streams into a single file or more? Is the single file mandatory or an option, i.e. can the streams be recorded into 6 files? A: The recorder has to ability to multiplex at least 6 incoming PCM data streams into a single file. 4. Par 5.2 (5e) - Do the 8 channels have the same IRIG time tag? A: Yes. 5. Par 5.5 (3) - What is the relationship between 5 Mbps and 3.2 Mbps in Par 5.2 (2e)? A: 3.2 Mbps is the requirement for the input to the best data engine. 5.0 Mbps is the requirement for the input to the processing server. 6. Par 5.5 (18) - What is the reason for 96GB of RAM? It is not clear why this extremely large RAM is needed for the bit-rates, number of telemetry parameters, data processing and display requirements defined in the specification. A: Customer requirement. 7. Par 5.5 (22) - What is the reason for 1 TFLOP? It is not clear why this tremendous processing power is needed for the bit-rates, number of telemetry parameters, data processing and display requirements defined in the specification. A: Customer requirement.
