Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland has a requirement for a Contractor to provide telephone systems, telephone maintenance and support services throughout the United States and its territories. The Contractor shall provide all necessary maintenance and support services associated with installing, de-installing and relocating Government-owned telephone systems as described in the attached Section B, Description of Supplies and Services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811213. The size standard for this NAICS code is $6.5 million. The SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for this effort. The period of performance will begin the date of award through October 31, 2009 with four (4) 12-month option periods, if exercised. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or before July 23, 2008 and is due on August 18, 2008. The RFP will be issued under solicitation number SSA-RFP-08-1070. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Requests for hard copies of this RFP will not be acknowledged, and the RFP will not be mailed.
