The contract is for the procurement of two kits of 25 tests each of a rapid detection test kit for Group A Streptococcal antigen, sourced directly from throat swabs or beta-hemolytic colonies recovered from culture. Each kit includes individually packaged test cassettes with rabbit anti-Strep A antibody and heat-inactivated Strep A antigen, extraction reagents A and B, sterile throat swabs, tubes and tips, positive and negative controls, a package insert, and a procedure card. The items must be stored at ambient temperatures between 59°F and 86°F (15°C to 30°C) and must meet strict shelf-life requirements: a non-extendable 18-month shelf life from manufacture, with no more than two months elapsed between manufacture date and delivery to the government. Labeling must include the date of manufacture, expiration or retest date, contract number, and lot number, all in accordance with the latest version of Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes MIL-STD-129 for medical acquisitions. Packaging must be commercial-grade, with each unit sealed in a protective container and shipped in suitable exterior containers to ensure safe, low-cost delivery to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with FOB destination terms.
