Each tube is a 8.5 mL Vacutainer with a pearl white Hemogard closure, featuring a Mylar label, polyester-based SST polymer gel, and spray-dried K2EDTA additive, designed for plasma separation. Marking must strictly follow Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129, with each label including the NSN, manufacturer and CAGE code, date of manufacture or expiration, and contract or lot number.
