The National Institutes of Health, through the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, is soliciting applications for the Disorders of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC) under solicitation RFA-DK-28-213. This initiative utilizes a U01 cooperative agreement mechanism to establish up to six Clinical Research Centers (CRC) over a maximum project period of five years. The primary objectives are to identify mechanisms linking altered gastrointestinal interoception to dysmotility and symptoms, develop disease or response biomarkers for pathophysiology and treatment efficacy, and utilize advanced technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets for future clinical trials. The consortium focuses on motility disorders in both adults and children, with specific requirements for the recruitment and enrollment of human patients and the collection of biospecimens and clinical data. The total program funding is 4.5 million dollars, with individual application budgets limited to 500,000 dollars in direct costs per year. Eligible applicants must be domestic organizations with active registrations in SAM.gov, eRA Commons, and Grants.gov, as non-U.S. entities are ineligible. Evaluation is based on the importance of the research, rigor and feasibility of the approach, and the expertise of the investigators and their environment. Key submission requirements include a mandatory Consortium Assurance letter and adherence to strict cybersecurity incident reporting and human subject protection protocols. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov by the deadline of March 5, 2027.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites new applications to participate in the Diseases of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC).  The overall objectives of this consortium are to: 1) identify the underlying mechanisms that link altered GI interception more directly to GI dysmotility and symptoms; 2) identify disease or response biomarkers that better assess pathophysiology or treatment efficacy; and 3) leverage state-of-the-art technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets that could be assessed in future clinical trials.

This NOFO uses a cooperative agreement mechanism (U01) and runs in parallel with a companion NOFO (RFA-DK-28-214).

HERMES BAA CALL: Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine-Combined Cycle (RDRE-CC) Flight Demonstration
Solicitation # FA9300-20-S-0001-CALL-RDRE-CC
The Air Force Research Laboratory Rocket Propulsion Division is seeking innovative research and development to advance Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine-Combined Cycle propulsion systems from TRL 3 to TRL 6. This effort aims to culminate in a ground-launched, sounding-rocket-boosted flight demonstration to support future High-Speed Affordable Mass Munitions. The project utilizes a two-step solicitation process, beginning with the submission of a concise white paper outlining technical architecture, compliance with test objectives, and estimated costs, followed by a full request for proposals for selected candidates. The anticipated period of performance is 36 to 48 months. Recent amendments have significantly updated submission protocols and administrative details. Phase I white papers must now be submitted directly to Contracting Officers Mathew Pierson and Kameelah Purdom via DoD SAFE drop requests, as the generic workflow inbox is no longer in use. Due to the presence of Controlled Unclassified Information, unencrypted email is prohibited, and offerors must request a secure drop-off link at least two business days before the deadline. Additionally, the government has released updated technical Q&As and notified offerors that Sierra Lobo, Inc. will provide non-governmental technical advisory support during the evaluation process.

Request for Information (RFI): Formal Learning and Abstractions for System Heterogeneity (FLASH)
Solicitation # DARPA-SN-27-17
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Information Processing Techniques Office issued Request for Information DARPA-SN-27-17 to gather research on Formal Learning and Abstractions for System Heterogeneity (FLASH). The program aims to enhance the robustness of high-assurance cyber-physical engineering systems by combining generative-model-based agents with symbolic reasoning. This approach seeks to automate the synthesis of systems from formal specifications, creating semantically heterogeneous instances that maintain functional equivalence while diversifying failure modes and attack surfaces to better protect national security applications, such as autonomous tactical platforms and secure communication pipelines. This is a special notice and not a formal solicitation for proposals; therefore, no contract value or evaluation criteria are provided. Interested parties must submit their responses by November 30, 2026. Submissions can be made at any classification level, with unclassified responses sent to [email hidden] and controlled unclassified information submitted via DoD SAFE. Those intending to submit classified information must notify the agency by November 13, 2026, and utilize approved secure networks such as SAV, JWICS, or SIC. All proprietary and classified data must be marked according to specific Department of Defense and DARPA guidelines.

Cattle Run Proposers Day Announcement
Solicitation # DARPA-SN-27-03
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is hosting a Proposers Day for the Cattle Run program on November 10, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia. The program's primary objective is to enable cost-effective cislunar constellations by developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that utilize solar sails or other renewable propulsion for long-duration maneuverability and station keeping. The project is structured in phases, beginning with the rapid development and launch of a demonstrator spacecraft below geosynchronous earth orbit to validate acceleration, vehicle control, and autonomous Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), followed by the deployment of multiple spacecraft for cislunar operations. This event is a special notice and does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals. Attendance is strictly limited to U.S. Citizens, who must submit a U.S. Citizenship Verification form during registration. Additionally, all attendees and potential proposers must meet CMMC Level 2 requirements, with verification performed via the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) using a CMMC Unique Identifier. The Proposers Day will be conducted at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level and serves as a forum for program information, networking, and one-on-one sessions with the Program Manager, Mr. Steven Chambers. Registration deadlines are listed as November 4 and November 6, 2026.
