The Sixth Amendment to the Service Agreement with Orange Avenue Disposal Company

The City of Fresno Department of Public Utilities is executing a Sixth Amendment to its existing Services Agreement with Orange Avenue Disposal Company, Inc. (OAD). This amendment extends the term of the agreement by one year, establishing a new expiration date of February 25, 2035. Under this agreement, OAD provides waste processing and disposal services for municipal solid waste, construction and demolition materials, and asphalt and concrete materials collected from established service areas across the city. These materials are deposited at the processing facility located at 3457 South Cedar Avenue in Fresno, California. The amendment specifically permits OAD to request future material modifications to the agreement or cost increases if they are necessitated by changes in law, legal mandates, or other legally required programs. The project is classified under NAICS code 562111 and has been granted a Class 1 Categorical Exemption under CEQA Guidelines as it involves no new construction, land use changes, or physical development, operating entirely within existing facilities.
