The Towers, LLC (UP25-0002)

The Towers, LLC is pursuing Conditional Use Permit UP25-0002 to install a 100-foot unmanned wireless communications monopole at the northeast corner of Richvale Highway and Colony Road in Butte County, California. The project is situated on a 36.66-acre parcel, specifically within a 2,500-square-foot lease area. The installation includes twelve 8-foot antennas, one 6-foot microwave dish, twelve remote radio units, and two ground-mounted radio cabinets on a reinforced concrete pad. Additionally, the site will feature a multimeter utility service within a 6-foot-high chain link fence and a diesel fuel backup generator on a separate concrete pad. The project has undergone environmental review in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, resulting in a Mitigated Negative Declaration to ensure no significant environmental effects, with specific attention given to the protection of the Giant Garter Snake. The lead agency, Butte County Department of Development Services, managed the public review period from August 8 to September 8, 2025. Formal approval was finalized with a Notice of Determination and the payment of 3,093.75 in environmental filing fees.
