AI Contract Overview
The contract solicits two self-indicating thermometers under NSN 6685-00-466-8557 with a required delivery within 20 days of award, delivered FOB origin and inspected and accepted at destination. All technical and quality requirements are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with revisions effective as of the solicitation issue date controlling for simplified acquisitions. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1 with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise specified, and critical, major, and minor attributes must be verified at levels VII, IV, and II or AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 respectively. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited unless used in approved functional applications such as batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, weapon systems, or specific chemical reagents, with portable devices containing mercury requiring shock-proof construction and a secondary containment boundary per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Packaging must comply with DLA requirements, prioritizing the DLA Master List over ASTM D3951, with hazardous material packaged per IP025 and non-hazardous material commercially packaged per ASTM D3951, all labeled in compliance with MIL-STD-129 and palletized per RP001. Shipment must be via fastest traceable means excluding parcel post, to the specified military delivery address in San Diego, with the required delivery date set for June 8, 2026, and no quantity variance allowed.
